The online platform for V-Ray users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
It's strange that transparency also hides image information in the auxiliary channels and that the user has to remove it in order to use it.
For example, the Glare channel. I rendered an animation of an object with a glow spreading along its edges. The background is transparent and will be defined later in the video edit for different versions. The glare effect in the main channel is not visible outside the object because the glare effect is not protected by the transparency. OK, no problem, I'll take the denoiser output and overlay the glare channel in the video edit. But even in the glare channel, everything outside the object is missing. With a little effort and know-how, the superfluous transparency has to be removed and then it works.
Please allow the user to turn off transparency for all auxiliary channels. It causes problems in post-production. The following channels are more useful to me without transparency:
Alpha
Material ID
Glare
Z-depth
But it would also be nice to have a choice for the main channels, which are:
Effects
Denoiser
