The online platform for V-Ray users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
It would be extremely useful if V-Ray proxies could be shared directly between 3ds Max and SketchUp, carrying not only the mesh but also their V-Ray materials.
Right now, proxies are limited to geometry only, which means if we want to move assets from 3ds Max into SketchUp, we have to go through extra steps to reapply or rebuild materials. In workflows where projects must be developed in SketchUp but still rely on high-quality models from 3ds Max, this creates a lot of overhead.
A direct way to save an asset in 3ds Max as a V-Ray proxy, and then import it into SketchUp fully intact (geometry + materials), would drastically speed up production and help maintain consistency across platforms.
