The online platform for V-Ray users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
Thanks to the new Gaussian Splatting support added in V-Ray 7, we are now able to model not only from drawings but also from scanned Gaussian Splatting point-cloud data. It has also become extremely helpful for replacing only the time-consuming parts of a model with Gaussian Splatting.
To further expand the usefulness of V-Ray, we would greatly appreciate enhancements to the following features:
Lighting interaction with 3D Gaussian objects
Enable 3D Gaussian data to properly react to V-Ray lights and V-Ray Sun, inheriting their brightness and color.
Direct rendering to 3D Gaussian format
Provide a feature that allows direct “learning rendering” output to 3D Gaussian, enabling users to convert modeled geometry into Gaussian Splatting.
Render elements for masking 3D Gaussian regions
Add a render element to mask (or color-code, similar to Material ID) areas that consist of 3D Gaussian data during rendering.
