The online platform for V-Ray users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
The Context
I often generate 100+ iterations to find the perfect lighting. While having options is great, navigating a grid of a hundred thumbnails makes it nearly impossible to compare my top choices or keep the project organized.
The Proposal
I’d love to see a simple "shortlist" workflow added to the Light Gen tool:
"Favorite" Button: A quick way to tag/star specific lighting iterations.
Isolate View: A toggle to hide everything except my "favorited" looks for easy side-by-side comparison.
Selective Saving: An option to only save the shortlisted generations to the scene, discarding the unwanted iterations to save disk space and reduce file clutter.
Why this helps everyone:
For Users: It turns a "sea of thumbnails" into a focused selection process. You can find "that one look" in seconds instead of scrolling indefinitely.
For Projects: Saving only the 5 favorites instead of 100+ unwanted variations keeps scene files light and prevents unnecessary bloat.
